OHP reflection
The part I enjoyed most about the process of the oral history project was hearing everyone's stories and getting diffrent perspectives. Sitting in my interview hearing the hard time Mrs. Chavis went through with her house really gave me insight to what people went through, and also helped me connect with other people who had similar experiences to me. I was strongly affected by Harvey and didn't get to hear many other stories before this, and thought I had it worse. After hearing this, I truly realized other people had it as hard as I did which made coping with it easier. As well as that, feeling in charge felt really nice. I felt like the boss while I was scheduling the interviews and I enjoyed that feeling of power. For future students doing this same project, I would tell them to plan ahead for everything.
